I dread the phone ringing – I just know it is someone wanting kittens. Nothing wrong with that, but we also have some beautiful adult cats who are desparate for a loving home.

I do try to persuade folk to consider the older ones, and get a bit peeved when they say ‘they want to train the kitten’ or ‘ they want to see its personality’ or ‘its for the kids’ – well NEWSFLASH – I defy anyone to train a cat – older cats are already assessed and we know their personality – and kids will love them just the same!

I guess it is never going to change though is it!

Monica is an eight year old part persian, mostly black with a ruff of light brown and white! she dislikes other cats but longs to be the centre of attention on someone’s life, she adores cuddles and likes to be close to keep an eye on you 1 she is neutered, vaccinated and chipped, she is ok with being brushed but thinks it is a bit of a game! she has been alloewed to have way too many litters and now it is time for her to get some love!

Currently being fostered in Paignton in Devon but transport can be arranged for the right home.

Charlie has been with us a few months now, she is about one and a half and would like to be the only cat in your home – and your life! She likes people very much, even older children, and is a clean and confident girl. Likes to have a garden to roam around in too. She came to us after having given birth to a single kitten, she is now neutered, vaccinated and chipped. Please contact me for further details.

Volunteer driver needed

If you live in South Devon and have a few hours spare a week we would love to welcome you on board!

We usually need drivers to take cats to and from the vets or new homes, to drive volunteers to do home checks, to collect good or take volunteers to and from fund raising events, and many other things too !

We do look to take references, and in return can provide you with a reference for employment should the need arise. We can pay a small amount towards petrol but this would be minimal.

Puddy and Holly

Puddy and Holly are two adorable 14 year old glrls, who are in need of a loving home with lots of human company, they are loving and affectionate and would like nothing better than a lap to sit on or a window to lok out of !

They are currently in South Devon but some transport could be arranged for the right home.

Please bear in mind that we do home check for all our cats, and ask for a donation towards our rescue work.

Sammy the diabetic cat

This is Sammy,8 year old boy, he came into care because his owner developed dementia and could not look after Sammy, he was diagnosed with diabetes, and was very overweight, and his owner was getting muddled with his dosage and food – effectively putting his life at risk.

After getting his diabetes under control we found him a lovely foster family in Cornwall, where he continued to lose weight and as his blood sugars became normalised he was weaned off the insulin – his condition is now entirely food controlled!

Due to other commitments, Sammy lost his foster home and is now living here with me in Paignton – but he is looking for his forever home, where there will be an understanding experienced cat lover who will not give in to Sammies constant need for food – but will be strong and keep an eye on his weight etc. No mean fete !
