WHAT YOU CAN DO IF YOUR CAT GOES MISSING
Firstly - check the house - has the cat got stuck in the airing cupboard / wardrobe / spare room?
Check your shed, garage, greenhouse etc.
Ask the neighbours if they have seen him, you can also leaflet the street. Check any empty houses, ask neighbours to check their sheds etc.
Make some posters, preferably with a picture of the cat - you can put them in the following places
garden gate or front window
local bus stop or lamp posts
local pub and shops
vets and pet shops
some poeple you could try phoning
local council - they have the task of collecting any reported dead animals
local vets
local animal shelters, blue cross, rspca etc. - many have lost and found lists.
ask the dustmen, postmen and milkmen to keep an eye out.
If the cat is chipped - call petlog.
Try your local paper or radio station - many will put out a free ad.
Go out and look for the cat - chose a quiet time and remember to listen for him as well as calling.
Remember - when you find your cat to let all the above people know!
